One of the things I enjoy most about being a stylist is sourcing out certain items we need for a project. Recently, I was asked to style a yoga/athleticwear shoot and one of the props the art director requested were tapestries. This hunt took me all over Los Angeles and I ended up stumbling across the Hare Krishna Center in Culver City. There is nothing like walking into a throng of people chanting and dancing in their element. I managed to find some beautiful batiks, heard some religious Indian music, and also witnessed my very first Hare Krishna throwdown!
