Did someone say seven foot bird cage?! Sometimes, it's about the hunt. I love finding just the right props, the right wardrobe for shoots I am styling. For my latest shoot, the location couldn't have been more ideal, the iconic Mountain Mermaid House in Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles. This historic house once a brothel in the 40's, a gay bar in the 70's and is now a favorite location for some of the best photographers in the world. The Calvin Klein spring ad campaign was being shot there the day after our shoot. Pictured above were props that caught my eye, our fabulous model Margarita of LA Models, and some of our prop set ups we came up with for our winter/holiday editorial.
